After nearly two decades in New York doing live performances, sound engineering, guitar pedal sales & testing and providing expert music instruction, Patrick has returned home to Virginia Beach.

This hometown guy graduated locally from the Governor’s School for the Arts then earned a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.

During his time in New York, Patrick formed an original indie rock band, Great Elk, that toured internationally and has had songs placed in various network TV shows and the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.

Since moving back to Virginia Beach in 2021, Patrick has been playing with the Vince Kornegay Band and plays with Richmond-based country artist Cody Christian. Great Elk continues to collaborate remotely and will be recording their third LP in the fall of 2024 at The IsOkOn in the Shenandoah Valley.

Patrick play & teaches a variety of styles including rock, jazz, blues, country and folk for bass, electric & acoustic guitar and ukulele since 2013 for all levels of musicianship - absolute beginner to advanced. He believes a student’s musicianship should go beyond the instrument and he emphasizes developing your ear and knowledge of music theory along with the songs you learn.
